Two entrepreneurs. Complementary talents. A shared love for what comes next.
Maité Selects brings together our experience, our creativity, and our life together. We’re Elmo and Melissa, and we’re creating an online boutique where international fashion meets personal attention, artificial intelligence, and a human eye for style.
Our journey has included online businesses, themed restaurants, and challenges that changed our plans—including Hurricane María and the pandemic. Those experiences taught us to adapt, anticipate challenges, and keep building. Maité Selects is our opportunity to turn what we’ve learned into something personal and meaningful.
Technology meets taste
Elmo brings a background in entrepreneurship, technology consulting, e-commerce, and AI education. His passion is finding practical ways for technology to help people and open new opportunities.
Melissa brings her love of fashion, her eye for selecting and combining pieces, and her experience as a fashion, beauty, and personal-care influencer. Her project-management experience and natural connection with people bring both organization and warmth to Maité Selects.
Maité Selects combines those strengths—and a little love: technology to personalize the possibilities, and human judgment to give them style and meaning.

We believe personal style begins with listening. Your favorite looks, photos, preferences, and special occasions help us understand what you enjoy wearing and what you’re looking for.
Our vision combines AI-assisted recommendations with Melissa’s thoughtful selection of clothing, bags, shoes, and accessories from international suppliers. We propose alternatives and combinations; you make the final choice.
A vision designed to grow
We’re building toward a personalized Fashion Club, with ideas such as a Virtual Fashion Show that lets members see themselves wearing suggested outfits in different settings.
As Maité Selects grows, we envision welcoming additional boutiques and fashion influencers to reflect more styles and preferences. We also hope to share our tools and knowledge, helping other entrepreneurs benefit from AI and develop businesses of their own.
